WHAT IS THE ISO 9000 QUALITY STANDARD?
ISO 9000 is a family of international standards that represent a consensus on the principles of good quality management. It consists of requirements and guidelines related to quality management systems and related standards.
ISO 9001:2008 is an international standard from this family according to which organizations can be certified, although the certification itself is not mandatory by the standard. As such, ISO 9001:2008 is a standard that includes a set of standardized requirements in terms of systematic quality management, regardless of the activity of the company or organization, its size or field of activity.
The ISO certificate serves as a positive reference between the organization and potential clients, especially when the supplier and client do not know each other, and they want to establish business cooperation. iDENT Polyclinic has an ISO 9001:2008 certificate issued by the accreditation company ICR Adriatica.
WHY IS THE ISO STANDARD IMPORTANT FOR THE iDENT POLYCLINIC?
It is a recommendation of the European Commission for the introduction of systematic quality management of health services in all health care institutions. Therefore, we have introduced work control according to ISO requirements for two main reasons:
• to always provide our patients with top-notch service according to the highest standards of the profession
• to control our work processes and notice possible irregularities in work in time.
Taking care of patients, throughout our work at the iDENT Polyclinic, we make sure that the services provided are of permanent quality and reliability. Also, by implementing ISO standards, we have enabled patients to provide feedback more easily, which serves us to continuously improve our products and services.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS FOR OUR PATIENTS?
Patients benefit from the introduction of ISO standards in our practice in many ways:
1. Continuous improvement of services and putting the patient in focus – strengthening trust,
2. Greater safety of treatment, through monitoring the calibration of dental devices, sterilization and the like,
3. Continuous improvement of the quality of dental services,
4. Better patient information through brochures and notices in the office,
5. Patient satisfaction survey.
All improvements and recommendations in the management of the polyclinic/practice are made respecting the strict principles of the profession.
